This page explains how Harbor Hearth handles information. The site is a static set of reference pages, so the amount of data involved is small and described in full below.

The contact form

The contact form on the home page runs entirely in your browser. When you submit it, the fields are validated and a confirmation message is shown locally. The information is not transmitted to a server, stored in a database, or emailed. Nothing you type into the form leaves your device through this site.

Cookies and local storage

Harbor Hearth does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only item the site can store is a single entry in your browser's local storage that records whether you chose Accept or Reject on the cookie notice, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data controls.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting environment may keep standard technical access logs (for example, request times and general request data) for security and reliability. This site does not add its own tracking on top of that.

External links and images

Pages link to public reference sources and load topic photographs hosted on Wikimedia Commons. When your browser loads those resources, the external host receives the standard request information any web request includes. Those external sites have their own privacy practices, which are outside the control of this site.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Questions can be sent to webmaster@harborhearth.org.
